INVITATION TO CONFERENCE

Internationalisation - an excellent way to improve vocational education & training

Elof Lindälvs gymnasium, Kungsbacka, Sweden, September 19th, 2013

The city of Kungsbacka

Would you like to know how you can improve vocational training by international cooperation using the European toolbox ECVET?

ECVET is a European system to support the transfer, recognition, and accumulation of an individual's learning experience abroad. Gradually, ECVET is now being implemented and may be used in all vocational qualifications at all levels. Due to its participation in two EU-funded ECVET projects, Kungsbacka municipality has become one of the most experienced practitioners of ECVET in Sweden. The project European Industrial Automation Class – EURIAC – is a Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation project that has created transnational and recognizable learning opportunities for vocational students using ECVET. During the conference, you will be introduced to ECVET, get an opportunity to network, get an update on the ECVET process in Europe, and share the EURIAC experiences and results with the project team.

By participating in the conference you will be able to achieve the following learning outcomes: knowledge of and basic skills to start exploring the ECVET tools in practice as well as initiate the first step to international cooperation in your own organisation.

The following stakeholders and target groups are expected participants:  the European Parliament, CEDEFOP (European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training), the Swedish National Agency for Education, the Swedish Council for Higher Education, policy makers and representatives from regional and local authorities, professionals in vocational education, and representatives from the industry.

The number of seats to the conference is limited and the conference will be conducted in English.
